Babyproofing

Written on May 28, 2007 – 1:43 pm

The time has come. We have to start thinking about babyproofing the house. Mainly the living room. With the dogs in and out I’m not sure I want her crawling around the kitchen floor. It just stays too for Amelia to play on. I’d literally have to sweep and mop 2 or 3 times a day to keep it clean enough for her to play on and I just don’t have time for that. When she starts walking, I’ll probably let her in there more, but for right now, I’d rather she stay in the living room.

But we have too much stuff within her reach and she’s already trying to get into stuff. And she’s not even crawling in the traditional sense. She crawls backwards and she does this weird flip thing where she goes from laying down to sitting, but she pretty much travels across the room doing it.

And I know she’s going to be a handful. The few times I’ve told her no in a serious voice, she has laughed when I said it.
