Happy 6 months

Written on April 17, 2007 – 11:23 am

Amelia,
Today you are 6 months old. I can’t believe it’s already been that long. It seems like just yesterday we welcomed you to the world and I was having to rely on grandma to take care of you while I was stuck in the hospital. You’ve grown so much and are sitting up almost on your own. You are babbling constantly yelling out “dadda” at every moment. Your face lights up when we come into your room each morning. You are such a happy girl. We are so lucky to have such a good-natured baby. You are so alert and observant.

You have definitely grown into a “daddy’s girl.” Which makes it difficult to feed you sometimes when all daddy has to do is walk into the room and you are distracted enough to not eat. I still get teary-eyed just thinking about your birth and the mere fact that you are in my life.

My world revolves around you and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I can’t imagine my life without you. Your smile lights my heart. And I can’t wait to see all the new things you discover in the next six months and the rest of your life.

Love,
Mommy
