From Pain to Nausea
You know how when you are in so much excruciating pain, that it makes you sick to your stomach? That’s how it’s been for me since Sunday. My neck hurts so much it’s spreading to my head and shoulders. And I’ve been almost constantly nauseous also.
It’s probably from retching all day on Saturday. I think I may have caught a bug or something that Amelia brought home from day care. She had been throwing up Thursday night. I haven’t been right since. Thankfully she is fine though.
But it’s so hard to take care of a 2 month old when you feel like utter caca. It hurts to move my head or my arm, so carrying her is difficult. Heck, it’s difficult to do just about anything that involves movement. Even sleeping is painful. I’ve been taking Tylenol and that doesn’t really help. I even took some of the pain meds the doc gave me after my c-section and that didn’t help. It’s pretty bad. And the nausea is worse than my morning sickness.
Maybe I need a shot of cortisone or something.

Oh man, I totally feel for you! You might consider scheduling an appointment with a physical therapist. I know a lot of my problems with my neck and shoulder (which led to horrible migraines) started during my second pregnancy when all that weight and softer ligaments changed my posture for the worse. There are some easy exercises/stretches you can do to get things back in alignment and bearable again…as long as you stick with them.
Yeah, all you need is one more thing to do, right? heheh…hang in there!
