First Attempt
This is a first attempt at publishing my new site design. I’ve switched over to Movable Type and have worked on my templates for quite a while. But I haven’t published anything, so this is the first attempt to see what exactly needs to be fixed. I apologize for the mess if one exists.
It’s been a while since I’ve used MT, so my knowledge of the template tags is a little rusty. I decided to switch back to MT from Textpattern because of the ease of which I can get something to work exactly how I want using the tags. They are so much more flexible than the ones in Textpattern. At least for me anyway. It seems that to do anything in Textpattern requires a plugin. Granted, my site is using a numerous amount of plugins now, but the display options are so customizable. I don’t think there is a way in Textpattern to display my archives they way I have them displayed here.
Anyway. So here it goes. I will be fixing and tweaking as I go, so please bear with me till all is straightened out.
Update: Apparently for some reason, my server isn’t parsing php files, so until I figure that out, nothing but the main page will show up. I will try to get that fixed as soon as I can. Also, my blogroll isn’t working, so I’ll have to figure that one out as well.
Update 2: Got the blogroll working to an extent. I would like to have the list display 5 random blogs but that part of the plugin isn’t working yet, so I am displaying only the last 5 updated.
Update: Ok, got the php issue working. Problem with the permissions MT was giving files and folders. So now, it’s just minor nit-picky things that I see. I might add stuff as I go along, but for now, this is it.
