She’s Here!
My daughter has arrived! She was born Oct 17, 2006 at 4:36pm via c-section after 13 hours of labor and no engagement. Yes, it was painful. She was wedged up near my ribs and would not descend. But she is here. She weighed 7lbs 13.5oz and was 20in long. She is the cutest thing ever, but of course I’m biased.
Eventually, when I find some time, I’ll update the site design to something more appropriate. I spent an extra week in the hospital following her delivery because they though I had developed a uterine infection. Turns out it was fluid buildup behind my incision and my body overreacted to it. This was my first ever surgical procedure so I guess my body didn’t know how to handle it. Mom was a lifesaver. She took care of Amelia at night while I was in the hospital and brought her to me so she could spend the day with me at the hossy. I was fortunate to be able to stay in the mother/baby wing so I was able to have here with me as much as I wanted. DH stayed with me at night every night I was there so that was great too.
Mom leaves on Sunday so I will be officially on my own as of this coming week. It will be nerve-wrecking but nice at the same time. I’m looking forward to establishing a routine of my own and handling things myself. It has taken me 3 weeks, but I finally feel like I can do it.

Congratulations on the new baby! I took a look at her photos, she is a beauty!
yay! Congrats
Glad to hear you are doing well!
congrats!!!
