A Girlfriends’ Guide
Well, I’m not pregnant and unfortunately, I don’t think I will be anytime soon.
But a co-worker, who just had a baby in July, has passed on a few things I might need. Yesterday, she came to work bearing gifts…3 books. Two of them are baby name books, since I don’t have a name picked out if I someday have a boy. And the third book is The Girlfriends’ Guide to Pregnancy. I never thought I’d get this book. Being as how my list of girlfriends is extremely short. For some reason it seems to me that this book should be passed on. It doesn’t seem like the kind of book you go buy for yourself. And I’ve heard so many good things about this book from all you fellow bloggers who’ve had children recently.
I’m so glad I am friends enough with this co-worker, that she felt she could pass this book on to me. Granted, I don’t really need it right now, since I’m not pregnant yet, but I will definitely hold on to it for when the time comes. And she’s already saving her maternity clothes and baby’s hand-me-downs for me. So I will have a pretty good start when my turn comes. I just hope and pray it’s sooner rather than later.
Thanks Laura, for this wonderful book. When I no longer need it, I will be sure to pass it on.
Maybe she’s trying to give you a hint.
Then again usually we wait until someone IS pregnant before passing along things like those. Its great that you have someone that close and even as a co-worker! Have a Happy New Year.. who knows what the future has in store for you guys! ((GRIN))
