Tablet

I got my tablet yesterday. It’s going to take some getting used to, but I think it’s fun to use. And it came with a free copy of Photoshop Elements. I use CS, but this gives me a legal copy of Elements to use at work. My trial version ended a few weeks ago and I was extremely disappointed. Now I have a decent graphics program if I need it. The only other graphics program we have at work is MS Image Composer. Yuck! And I don’t do that much graphic design at work, so there is no justification in purchasing a better app. At least now I can use my own copy of Elements. Yeah!

I even customized it and put in one of the pics provided on the CD. Instead of the default white board with the photos of people I don’t know. I think I’ll be using it pretty often in PS, but I have to get used to the absolute positioning. That’s throwing me off some. That and the concept of not “putting pen to paper.” But I adjusted some of the settings and now I have a custom popup menu on one of the pen buttons…Photoshop and TopStyle at my fingertips. :) I also added cut, copy, paste and delete to the popup menu.

I wish I could use the eraser in other programs besides Word and Excel. I rarely use those apps, but I could use that functionality in the ones I do use frequently, like TopStyle. Oh well.
