Valentine’s Day

Written on February 16, 2004 – 11:52 am

I hadn’t expected to get anything for Valentine’s Day. I even told my parents that I didn’t get anything when they called. Since our 3rd anniversary is tomorrow and we will be going out of town this weekend, I wasn’t thinking about a gift. But we meandered to Lowe’s and I got a present. Now you think, a present from Lowe’s just isn’t appropriate for Valentine’s Day, but I feel it is. My dear hubby installed track lighting in the kitchen. It is so great. I can now see what I’m doing. Before I had to turn on about 3 different lights in the kitchen and dining area, just so I could get enough light to see what I’m cooking. Now all I need is the kitchen lights. It is so wonderful. And we have a pretty hanging light directly above the sink.

I have today off, for President’s Day, so I guess I need to go shopping after lunch for an anniversary gift for the hubby. Even though we are going to Florida to see Cirque du Soleil’s Allegria this weekend.

What else did we do this weekend? We watched a bunch of Stargate episodes on DVD. And we’re only half way through Season 2. Good thing there are 5 seasons. I’m so addicted to that show. It’s worse than Charmed. And I’m horribly addicted to it. Ok, maybe it isn’t that bad. I’m not watching the current season of Stargate that comes on Friday nights. But holy, moly. The guy that plays Daniel is such a hottie!! It’s no wonder that at almost every planet they visit some woman falls for him. :D
