A co-worker has let me borrow Book 5. Woohoo! I finally get to read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. So don’t tell me who dies…I want to read to find out.
Well, my site finally came back up sometime in the last 4 hours. It went down sometime after 12, because I couldn’t post my 12:30am blogathon entry. Melanie at the-onion.net was kind enough to lend me some space on her site to use as a back up. But I was spitting mad! It was down for at least 8 hours! And of course in the middle of a major blogging event. I’m still ticked about it.
But, I’ve moved all my entries over, so all is complete. I missed one post at 12:30 am and Melanie’s servers went down sometime in the 3 o’clock hour so I was late posting the 3:30 am entry. But besides those…I am eternally grateful to Melanie for coming through for me in a pinch.
I’m already working on my plan for next year…developing a plan and how it will go and I can tell you, I will have a backup site ready to go well in advance, even though I shouldn’t have to.
Off to relax now that I know all is up again. If you couldn’t catch the craze yesterday…go on over and read the entries. You’ll get a laugh as I ran around frantic trying to get everything running again.
well, sort of. I’m plugging along during this blogathon. It’s actually going fairly easily right now. It’s later that will be harder. Ha! If you get a chance stop by. I’ve also got all of my IMs going just in case. I rarely even have one on. So stop by, leave a comment, contribute or whatever. I might not post much else today, since I’m posting on the blogathon section. So if you don’t stop by, I’ll catch you all tomorrow or Monday.
It’s almost time. The blogathon will start at 8am tomorrow morning. I plan to read quite a bit. I might even get my current read finished so I can mail it out to the fellow bookcrosser who is patiently waiting for me to finish it. My husband is trying to plan stuff to do since I will mostly be unavailable to do anything. I’ll be online all day long. Send me an email…post some comments on the site…just stop by to say hi.
I’ll turn on my MSN and you can IM me…my username is vbgeekgirl@msn.com. Also don’t forget to check out my blogathon site at http://wifetalks.com/blogathon2003. I’ll be posting baby names, baby pictures, baby stories and anything else I can think of that is baby related. Get those pictures of your cuties in and I’ll add them to the site.
I’m testing out Mozilla Firebird. It is pretty neat but I keep getting connection errors. Not sure why. It is really simple…scaled-down browser. Very nice. Not as much overhead as like Netscape or the old Mozilla which has the same bulk as Netscape. I may use it for a while to see how it works.
One nice thing I liked was that they is no installation. Just unzip the download into a folder and go. Very nice.
I’ve been doing so much trying to get ready for the blogathon, that I’m dreaming about babies now. I dreamt that I delivered a premature baby. I remember I was holding her in my arms and thinking that she was so tiny. Then I got upset because the nurses had named her…I hadn’t gotten a chance to name her. Sadly I remember what they named her – Bethany Lee. Pretty name but not what I’m planning to name my daughter, if/when I ever have one.
And speaking of babies, I don’t know if my mother is really wanting a grandchild or if she’s worried about me getting pregnant because of my fibromyalgia, but every time I get sick, she asks if I could be pregnant. Mom, news flash…people catch colds and get stomach viruses…it doesn’t mean they are pregnant. Sheesh…but maybe it’s a mother’s intuition or something.
Oh yeah…I went to lunch last week with some co-workers to a china buffet. My fortune cookie read: “A small gift can bring joy to the whole family.” How weird is that?
Oh, I never really liked rainy weather…it is a mess when you have to go out in it. But lately, since I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, it seems like every time it rains, I feel horrible. My pains are stronger and it is hard to even sit on the couch or lay down without feeling uncomfortable. Argh! It’s awful.
I wish I could just get a shot or something and never have to worry about it again. I know that will never happen. I just have to deal, but on days like this, it is really hard. Rainy weather is now my enemy.
Yesterday I received the books I’d ordered through the Literary Guild.
I also ordered three more:
I can’t wait to start reading them all!
I had a movie weekend. Saturday night, my sister, her friend and I went to see Legally Blonde 2. What a good movie…I will be getting the DVD.
Sunday, I rented How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. That one was fabulous as well. I will be getting that DVD soon as well. I also rented I’m With Lucy, which was pretty good. My husband bought the DVD of Basic with John Travolta, so we watched that last night. It was a good miliary flick.
See I told you I had a movie weekend. Saw 4 movies! All were great.
My blogathon site is all done. It is up and running and fabulous! Melanie did a wonderful job on the template. Thank you! So get over there and check it out…and sponsor me, please, even if it is only for $1. Every little bit helps.
