It sucks to be sick…especially when the sinus pressure is so bad…your face hurts so much you can’t see straight! Yuck! If my throat would quit hurting so much, I might actually be able to get some rest. Agh!
Anyway, Stacey, did you feel the earthquake this morning? Apparently there was a 4.9 near Fort Payne, AL…very north east section. But way down here in Montgomery, I felt the house shake! I’m sitting up in bed in the guest room trying to will away the throat scratchiness so I can get some sleep and the bed shook. The lamp in the room shook also. I couldn’t figure out what it was. When my husband was getting ready for work, I asked him if he’d gotten up. He said no and I explained what had happened. He said, I couldn’t do that! Later watching the news, they mentioned the earthquake. I can’t believe that’s what I felt. It was slightly amazing actually. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or damage, but apparently it was felt from AL to NC!

Sheesh…I just enjoyed all the love I received. Thanks to all my reads and everyone else who shared a little love with me. Well, hubby is sick, so we definitely won’t be painting this weekend. He is currently in bed! Oh well.
I picked up Soap Digest’s Ultimate Days of Our Lives Fan Guide. Of course, since I’ve been watching the show since 1988, I remember a lot of the stuff they mention. Every few pages they have a fan poll. One is for all-time favorite tear-jerker.
The choices:
- Bo and Hope give up JT, 2002
- Isabella Black’s Death, 1992
- Steve Johnson’s Death, 1990
- Tom Horton’ s Death, 1994
- Roman and Marlena reunite on the docks, 1991.
Of these I’d have to choose 5. That was a very moving reunion. But my all-time favorite moment in Days History is when John and Kristen returned Belle to Marlena at the Christmas midnight mass. During the singing of Silent Night, they walked down the aisle and handed Belle to a tearful Marlena…I even cried. I’ll never forget that. It really was the best Days moment.
And who is my most missed character? I’d have to say Carrie and Kayla. Yes, I picked 2. It’s be great to see these two return to Salem.

We’ll be painting the living room this weekend. I’m looking forward to it. It really needs a new look and we are trying to dress it up. It is sort of our circus room. We have several posters from the various Cirque du Soleil shows we’ve been to. So the room will be maroon with white baseboards and trim. We also plan to replace all the outlets and switches in the room. They are currently beige and very dirty/broken. I think it will look pretty neat when we are done, but it will be some hard work, moving all the furniture out of that room and keeping the dogs off of the leather couches while the paint dries. I’m going to take a before photo tonight before we move all the stuff out. Once it is painted and all back in, I’ll take an after photo and post them up.
Update: Well, I’m not sure we’ll be painting this weekend. We were supposed to clear out the living room tonight so we could paint this weekend, but we’ve been stuck in a horrid thunder storm with tornado warnings, flooding, and golfball sized hail. It has been crazy and my husband is not home, he’s stuck in the town where he works, which is an hour away. The painting may have to wait till next weekend.
Also, I participated in The Love-In today and posted a note on each blog I love, letting them know. I must also post something I’m happy about in my life. I’m happy that I have a wonderful husband and good home. I am fortunate to have so much. I know I have way more than others and am truly grateful.

I bought a yoga video a few weeks ago but I only just watched it this past Wednesday. It is supposed to be for stress relief and my doctor said it would be good for my back pain. My mom’s physical therapist said the same. So I figured what the hell, I’ll try it.
Ha! No wonder it is so good on my back…sheesh! I didn’t realize how bad my back was till I tried following their simple routine. Just lifting my arms over my head made my back hurt. I know if I keep doing the routines, my back will start to feel infinitely better, but till then, ouch!
Of course it relieves stress, you don’t think about anything else but the stabbing pain in your back.

Thank you everyone for the kind words and all the hugs…you all are so great and supportive!
Things are pretty good today. We made up for not going to Florida by planting some trees. We planted 2 oleanders (with pink flowers) and an October Maple in our front yard. I can’t wait for them to take root and start growing. The maple has little blooms all over it, so we’ll get to see it bloom out. It looks so funny though, cause it is so little right now, even though it is over 7 feet tall. I’ll have to take a picture of it at some point, so you can all see our hard work.

Well, we are not gone to Florida like we were supposed to. It’s a long story and I’m so upset right now, I don’t feel like going into it. So here we are once again sitting at home, instead of spending time with family somewhere away from here.
