Movie and More

Last night we rented and watched The Sum of All Fears. Excellent movie. Ben is a hottie so it was fun to watch. I love those type of action movies as well. It was also interesting watching the character of Jack Ryan from the beginning. My husband and I were wondering where he got his fear of flying. In this movie he didn’t seem to mind, but after the terrible helicopter crash he experienced, I wonder if that is what caused it. If anyone has seen some of the movies, does he say in any of them what caused his fear of flying…was it the crash from The Sum of All Fears?

I guess pretty soon, I’ll have to think about a new design since the holidays will be over with. I’m thinking about going with blues and grays for winter with some sort of snow graphic.

Busy

I guess the holidays are keeping everyone busy, as they should. I’ve tried to keep up with my blog and reading everyone else’s, but it hasn’t been too hard. Not to many recent entries for anyone. It’s good. It means we actually have lives beyond our website. Sometimes I wonder.

Took half a day off today since there was hardly anyone at work. Spent it mostly napping. I finished reading The Rescue and have picked back up with Odd Girl Out. I’m looking forward to it. Might rent a movie tonight, not sure yet.

Saddened

Not sure if we are going anywhere this year for Christmas and I’m getting sad at the thought of not spending it with my family. Sure, I’ll be with my husband, but I really wanted to go. I guess this year will be as dull as last year. As the days grow closer, I get more sad at knowing Christmas day will be somewhat lonely. He isn’t big on the holiday, who knows why, so it won’t be a special day in my house…it will most likely be like any other day, except we don’t have to work.

Mall Tycoon

I picked up a new game: Mall Tycoon today. It is such a fun game. Similar to Roller Coaster Tycoon but you build and manage a mall. Since I can’t run RCT on WinXP, I opted for this game. I love it! It is so fun! I think I may become addicted.

We saw it

We did end up going to see Harry Potter last night for the 8:10 showing. There were about 12 people in the theater. Most everyone that went up to the ticket counter was buying up tickets for Twin Towers. I enjoyed the movie. It was fun to watch but there were some scenes that had me jumping cause I wasn’t expecting what happened. I can see how kids have said it is sort of scary. It is…a 10ft long serpent that looks sort of like a gigantic eel would be scary, but I did enjoy it. Maybe it will encourage me to finally crack open Year 4 and finish reading it.

Christmas Early

My parents were here this weekend and we did Christmas with them. Of course we won’t have anything to open on Christmas day, but that is okay. We have one present from them that we are saving. My parents got me a leather jacket…it is so nice. We also got some other cool stuff. My husband got a razor and some tools. I got some shirts, a shawl, a massager (something I really need for my shoulder). We had the best time. It really felt like Christmas with all the wrapping paper all over the floor. It was so good seeing my little Chiqui again (my parents Chihuahua, the baby of the family). She is the cutest thing and so sweet. I wish our dog, Sadie, was that nice.

We were supposed to go see Harry Potter tonight, but we didn’t. We missed the showing at 4pm cause we were hungry. We went shopping then went to the theater and realized the next show wasn’t till 8:10 and it was only 6 so we said forget it. We really want to see it, so we may go later on this week.
