CSS headache

Written on December 11, 2002 – 4:33 pm

Thank goodness I don’t have to deal with the headaches of CSS and browser compatibilty. It really gives me a headache when I start reading all the issues of browser compatibilty and style sheets. This nightmare is what makes me glad I’m not a web developer with a site that is viewed in multiple browsers. From watching my stats, most of my readers are using Internet Explorer 6. In any case, since my site is personal, I’m just saying to heck with them all. I tried to please all browsers at one point and I got to hate my site, so I said to forget it…if you can’t see my site or it looks like gobbldy-gook, upgrade your browser. ;)

Standards are hard to meet, but once you get the hang of it then it at least makes sense, still not always easy, but…….

As for your site meter code does the snippit that they provided have formatting inside that could overwrite the CSS ? Just a thought as I don’t use it, you may just want to figure some better log analizers and you wouldn’t need site meter at all.

Good for you! I can tell you it is a pain. I tried to make my blog at least IE5+ and Mozilla compatible, and succeeded at that. But now it looks not quite right on IE5Mac. To hell with it, that’s only 4.5% of my readers. And I know the posts are still readable.
