Starting Over
When I move to the new site…I am going to start over with my entries. But I want to save all my old entries. Would it be best to import them into a separate blog? Then in my archive list I could just use an include to add those old entries. That may work well. I’ll have to see. It will be a major project moving everything over, but I’m looking forward to cleaning up my files. Then new site will not have smilies in the entries. Just too much of a pain. I may use text versions, but the images won’t be there. I am thinking of keeping them in the comments though. I haven’t decided yet. Many changes to come. I’ve signed up for my new hosting account, so hopefully that will be set up by tomorrow and I can start setting up my new stuff. In the meantime, I need to figure out what type of layout I want. I’m thinking of starting out with something Christmas-y, but not sure yet what. I may just pick out a template for now from somewhere and use it. I am just anxiously awaiting my new account info so I can get started.
what I did when I moved to a new host last month is install a fresh copy of MT. Then I just imported all of my entries over so it actually looked like I never moved. Make sense? Is that kind of what you are wanting to do?
