The Simple Things

Written on August 8, 2002 – 3:39 pm

Sometimes it’s the simple things that give us great pleasure. At work I use SQL Server for our database. There is a program in that suite that allows me to make script changes directly to the database. When I close the script, it always prompts asking me if I want to save the script to a file. I always say no, but it is so annoying. Today I just found the setting in options to turn off that save prompt. It’s so exciting! :) See, sometimes, it’s the simple things bring us such joy.

I watched Lord of the Rings last night. It was great! I was left wanting to know what happens next, so I guess I will have to watch the next one as well…or read the books. They’ve been on our bookshelf for several years and haven’t been opened, much less read. Who knows…I may get a bug.

Over the weekend, we went to see K-19 on the big screen. It was pretty good. I like those sub movies. I guess I just like war movies and this was one of them, sort of. Anyway, I would definitely see it again.

I’m leaving tomorrow for Gainesville. We are going down to help my sister-in-law move into her new place. Should be fun. But I won’t have access to a computer to post anything so I’ll be away for a few days…we don’t get back till Monday.
