…discovering there’s more to life than being the mommy
We can have clean clothes again! Last night we bought a new washer. Our old one finally died after 16 years. (Note: we didn’t have it that long, but it was that old.) Our new one is larger than the old one, so now it looks like we have no clothes in it. What used to take up the whole washer packed, now takes up about half of the new one. It’s so fabulous! Now I want to get the matching dryer so they won’t look mismatched. 
We’re getting there. We are 90% done with the game (Jak and Daxter). I think we will be done before it has to be returned to Blockbuster on Friday. I may rent it again at some point in the future so I can go through it again. My hubby did most of the game, so this time I will go back and try to complete it by myself. It may take me a long time, but it’ll be fun.
Received some sad news today. A friend of ours lost her baby. She was about 2-3 months pregnant. 
I’ve become a PS2 junkie overnight. My husband and I rented Jak and Daxter on Friday and we’ve been playing almost non-stop since! It’s so addictive. Now I know we’ll either beat the game before we have to return it next Friday or we’ll go buy it so we can keep playing it. We’re so pathetic!
We’ve gone wireless! Now we can get online via the laptop from any room in the house. It’s so cool! Of course since my husband’s computer burned from lightning he has taken over our laptop which means I no longer get to use it as much or take it with me on trips. I will miss all my personal stuff when I go to FL and GA in two weeks.
I’ll still have a laptop from work, so I’ll be able to get online, just my personal files won’t be on it. Oh well. I guess I’ll have to back everything up to zip (my zip drive is external usb) so I can take it all with me that way.
I’ve finally finished Just Friends. It was excellent. I had a little trouble getting started but once I got it, I couldn’t put it down. And it got better and better as I kept reading.
I think I may attempt Harry Potter once again. I saw the movie over the weekend and it was pretty good. I thought it was interesting and I think I may could get into the books now that I’m somewhat familiar with the story concept.
In soap talk, I really don’t think Billie is after Bo to get him back. Rumors have been flying around ever since before she came back to Days, that she might not be after him. And I have to agree. I don’t think they would bring her back just to go after him again. With her suspicious phone calls to a mystery person, I think there is something more going on. Maybe she is watching him or something for someone else. I know they are trying to play it out like she is after him, but I have a slight suspicion that isn’t it at all. I guess we just have to keep watching and find out. Hopefully her true motives will be revealed soon and the mystery won’t drag out for eons, like all other storylines on daytime.
Don’t you just love when one day, a character on your favorite show is 3 years old, then the next day he/she is 15?!
It happens all the time on soaps…especially Days of Our Lives. I don’t think the writers have given this much thought though. I’ve been watching Days for almost 15 years. Since then I’ve watched many children grow up overnight, literally! But there is one who has stayed young while all the children around have become adults.
I think this weekend will be busy! I have to work in the yard and plant my bushes before they die in the pots. I also have to work on getting my mom’s computer upgraded and running. And of course there’s laundry to do. That never ends. It will be a fun-filled weekend, then back to the grind. I’ve been so busy at work this week on a project that I haven’t had time to do much of anything. When I get home, I have no desire to get on the computer so I watch my soaps instead.
I’ve started watching All My Children. It is pretty good. I usually watch it at night…it comes on at 7pm CST on SoapNet or on Sunday I watch the Marathon (all 5 shows for the week). I am getting hooked but since I just started, I’m not familiar with the history of all the characters yet. Who are my favorites? I am liking Greenlee/Leo and the Maria storyline with Brooke and Edmund is pretty interesting, although I get confused at times…I know those characters have a lot of history that I am unfamiliar with. I’m not liking Kendall. The actress just doesn’t do anything for me. I’m curious as to what David’s involvement with Maria is. What are his motives for keeping her away from Pine Valley? There is so much I don’t understand, I guess I will have to start searching the web and reading about the past storylines to get familiar with it all.
I’ve been so slow lately. I’m extremely tired, lately it seems like I’m always tired. As if I am not getting enough sleep. It’s not like I’m going to bed any later, but it actually doesn’t matter when I go to bed and when I wake up…I’m still tired. I guess I need to get out and do more…exercise or at least something more active. Maybe that will help boost my energy level. I haven’t been eating bad either. I feel like I’ve been eating fairly healthy. Maybe it’s just old age creeping up on me or something…heehee…at 27?! Yeah right…I’m just not fit I guess and it’s making me tired. Argh!
