word searches

I love doing word search puzzles. They are so relaxiing because you don’t really have to think to do them. Last year I got a subscription to the Dell Word Search Puzzles and of course time doesn’t permit me to complete a whole book so quickly. I still have 3 more volumes from my subscription that I haven’t started yet. Plus the one I’m working on currently. So I have plenty of words to find still before I have to get a new subscription.

I can find words fairly fast. I do a puzzle in a few minutes. I think I like the ones in the book more than any I’ve found for the computer, whether they be local programs or online. You can take the book anywhere and I find I take it with me almost as often as I take a book.

I think my favorite type of word search are the tail tags. Each word begins with the letter the last one ended with. In some of them, you end up at the starting point. I am also beginning to like the tanglewords. Those are a little more challenging because it’s sort of like a crossword puzzle, but you have only words, no clues. Certain letters of board are filled in. Those are starting letters for some of the words in the puzzle. You have to fill in the rest.

This probably makes no sense at all. I’m sleepy and a little inebriated, so I probably have no idea what I’m saying. Oh well, I’m off to relax and sleep. :)
