It’s a shame

I’ve only been blogging for a few months now and I’ve noticed several good sites close because of issues with what has been written. I think it really is a shame that people have suffered from having their journals online. This is an easy and fun way to keep a personal website and a “diary” of sorts of our daily lives. Granted some sites can get a little too personal. These are best kept private. But for problems to arise between friends and family over it is really sad. The internet is the place for free speech, supposedly. If everyone started making issues about what’s being written online, then what good is any of it.

I can understand both sides…some things shouldn’t be shouted out for the whole world to know, but also, why can’t someone write what they feel on their own personal site? I just think it is sad when it comes down to someone having to dismantle their site because of what was written on it.
